• Jun 28 2008 "Desperate Housewive's" Marcia Cross Starring In New Indie Film
Actress Marcia Cross plays a convincing Bree on "Desperate Housewives," whether she is baking cookies, faking pregnancies or taking part in a block party.

Cross is leaving Bree behind momentarily, while she stars in the indie comedy "Peck." The story is about a high schooler who lives under strict parental scrutiny and develops an unlikely friendship with the school's golden girl.

This is the first feature for Cross since joining the cast of "Desperate Housewives." The star hasn't been sitting idly by, however. Over the past few years, she married and gave birth to twins.

"Peck" is being directed by Michael Nickles and produced by Jerry Leider. The movie also stars Adam Arkin, Camryn Manheim, Keir Gilchrist and Brie Larson.

Shooting is scheduled to wrap this week.

'Desperate Housewives' star Marcia Cross has been involved in a car accident in Los Angeles.

Marcia Cross has been involved in a car accident. The 46-year-old 'Desperate Housewives' star was driving her Lexus RX in West Los Angeles when she collided with a silver sedan vehicle on Wednesday (11.06.08). Fortunately Cross and the other driver both emerged from the smash unscathed. Both cars had to be removed by tow truck from the scene of the accident. It is not known how many people were in each car, but Cross' one-year-old twins Eden and Savannah were not in her vehicle at the time of the accident. The damage to Cross' car appeared minimal, but the other vehicle had significant damage to its front end. A representative for Cross has described the accident as "minor". It is not clear which driver was to blame for the crash - but a policeman attending the scene has not filed a report on the accident. The two drivers are reported to have swapped insurance details.
